Onchain contingency instrument · Base

Wound by
the living.

Set beneficiaries and a heartbeat interval. If you stop checking in, your assets go where you said — paid by an immutable contract, claimed by the people you named. We detect absence, never death.

Principles

A horological instrument for contingency — not a degen toy.

I.

Non-custodial

Assets never sit in a protocol pool. Each user deploys a personal, immutable vault. We can't touch your funds, and neither can anyone but your beneficiaries.

II.

No oracle of death

The only trigger is missed heartbeats plus an elapsed grace period. We detect absence — silence — never death.

III.

Cancel anytime

One check-in at any point — even mid-grace — resets everything. Any signed activity on your vault is a heartbeat.

How it works

Four minutes to set up. Then think about it never.

01

Create

Passkey smart wallet → deploy your vault → set the interval and grace.

02

Name

Add beneficiaries by address or basename. Shares in bps, summing to 100%.

03

Check in

One tap — "I'm here" — resets the dial. Reminders arrive at 14, 7, 3, 1 days.

04

Release

Miss the interval and grace; anyone may trigger the release. Beneficiaries pull their share.

The guardian option

For when the owner is in the hospital.

An optional guardian can extend the grace period once, by thirty days — enough to handle a real-world interruption. The guardian can never redirect funds, change beneficiaries, or take custody. They can only buy time.
